The Rur Pirates daycare center is the newest facility in the city of Jülich.
The sponsor is Kreismäuse AöR.
In 2019, the 940 square meter pirate ship of the “KiTa Rurpiraten” landed in the new development area at Ginsterweg. The four-group daycare center now has a crew of 92 members—comprising men, women, boys, and girls.
It was built right next to the residential area “Ginsterweg.” The personalities, behaviors, skills, and actions of the children are of great importance to the educational professionals at the Jülich daycare center. The primary goal of the Rur Pirates is to provide individual support for each child.
To ensure this, a focus of the Rur Pirates is on movement education. The facility is certified as a movement daycare center. Early and varied physical activity positively impacts children’s physical, motor, and psychosocial development, as well as their cognitive abilities. Large play areas can be used during free play, and children have access to specially acquired indoor vehicles and stimulating play materials to encourage movement.
There are also cozy retreat areas, such as the snoozel room, as well as options for partially open work based on the principles of the situational approach.
The compatibility of family and work has long been a priority, and the Rur Pirates aim to transparently reflect this with a contemporary and pedagogically sound concept in a modern daycare facility.
Daycare tours for interested parents are offered flexibly from 4:30 PM onwards by prior phone arrangement.
