Cooperation between music and drama
After offering acting courses for children and senior citizens, the music school of the city of Jülich and the Aachen Drama School have now decided to take their cooperation to the next level. The new Acting Class in Jülich is an ambitious course offering for acting enthusiasts of all ages who want to develop or improve their skills under professional guidance.
René Blanche, Director of the Aachen Drama School: “Now we are offering something that has never been seen before in Jülich: professional acting lessons in the ducal city!”
When designing the course, particular attention was paid to the needs of adult newcomers and career changers. “Similar to making music,” explains Bernhard Dolfus, head of the music school, “acting lessons improve concentration, observation skills and imagination. Even if you don’t necessarily want to stand in front of the camera or on stage professionally, this course adds a lot of value to the lives of the participants. For those who want to become actors, it is a suitable entry-level offer that provides an insight into professional acting training.” The course will focus on acting, camera acting, speech training, stage combat and voice training.
