Wo hohe Anforderungen an Bauwerke gestellt werden – egal ob Brücke, Halle oder Hochhaus – kommt der/die Beton- und Stahlbetonbauer/in* zum Einsatz. Er/sie montiert oder fertigt Schalungen und Stützgerüste an, biegt und flechtet Stahlbewehrungen, die er/sie in die Schalung einbaut. Die Herstellung von Betonmischungen bzw. die Verarbeitung von fertig geliefertem Transportbeton gehört ebenso zur Tätigkeit wie das Einbringen des Betons in die Schalung. Ein weiteres Berufsfeld ist die Montage von Betonfertigteilen sowie das Abdichten, Dämmen und Isolieren von Betonbauwerken. Die Ausbildungsdauer beträgt drei Jahre.
