The Jülicher Land Health Network, which was founded in 2003, now includes more than 100 registered doctors from Jülich and the surrounding area as well as Jülich Hospital. In this way, almost all doctors in Jülicher Land are networked with each other in the GVJL.
From the very beginning, the aim of all members has been to maintain and continuously optimize medical care in the region with its more than 80,000 inhabitants at a high level. This is done, for example, by strengthening the exchange of information between GPs, specialists, hospitals and therapists, as well as through regular training courses for doctors and practice staff. We offer courses on preventive healthcare to interested members of the public.
The tasks of the GVJL also include organizing the emergency medical service in the emergency practice at Jülich Hospital, which patients can contact in acute emergencies outside the opening hours of doctors’ surgeries.
