The “historic fortress city and modern research city” can be reached from the surrounding cities of Düsseldorf, Cologne and Aachen, Maastricht and Liège in a maximum of one hour. Of course, this also applies in the opposite direction: anyone living in Jülich will find connections just as quickly, and not just among the local population.
